2020 mkv Annual Golf tournament

The event kicked off at 10:06 am with great excitement. Charlie Black came to serve as the official starter and Assistant Tournament Director, and Les Howatt roamed the course in a cart, serving as the on-course rules official. Carol Bounds, Keith Hensley, Norm Weil and Margaret Mobbs were the first foursome off the tee. The tournament was not televised this year, but discussions are underway with networks concerning next year.

The tournament was very competitive, with the final scores of the six teams ranging from 69 (one under par) for the winners, to 72 for the last placed team.

Winners were:

1st place, Score 69, Clarke Howatt, Stacy Reid, Curt Saunders and Linden Fritsch

2nd place, Score 70, Joyce Weil, Harold Mobbs, Darrell Champion, and Chris Bounds

3rd place, Score 71 was a tie:

Shirley Fritsch, Larry Zaradnik, Rob Reid, and Diane Feuerstein

Carol Bounds, Keith Hensley, Norm Weil, and Margaret Mobbs

Closest to the Pin: Dave Vistaunet

Longest Drive (Men): Clarke Howatt
Longest Drive (Women): Marje Keys

Following the tournament, an Awards Ceremony was held at Roy’s.

 Hi all, 
I am pleased to announce that the 2020 MKV Annual Open Golf Tournament has been scheduled. Excitement is building and only the first 24 players that sign up are guaranteed a spot, so act quickly!
The tournament will be held Saturday, February 1 beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the lovely Kai Kaanapali course.   Lots of fun prizes and drinks and pupu’s afterwards at Roy’s, all for a modest entry fee of only $109!  Scramble format, so golfers of all levels are welcome.  Check out the attached flyer for all the details and for the entry form. 
And please tell all your friends who golf, as I am sending this to only 36 people who were on the shuffleboard list (best list I could get)
