Aloha to Joyce and Joe
Aloha to the withering stern stare Judge Joe.
Jan’s 3 daughters arrive today. Her son arrives tomorrow. Our Aloha, farewell circle and petal floating is on Friday, February 8th at 4:30 pm and will be held on the ocean shore and the canoe will then take Joes ashes out to sea. After sunset they will come and we will all reconvene in the Honu room for a farewell toast and pupus.
Joe was the sternest tournament judge ever and no one could stare his withering stare down. He was much loved and will be missed sorely. Always telling funny stories and jokes. Much laughter and smiles surrounding him at all times. Scoring sometimes clear cut and other times judges call.

After petals into the ocean to send Joyce off everyone went to talk story at Castaways.

Beautiful day beachside. Only 1 canoe (with Joe’s ashes) suggested go out because of the ocean. But a calm came over with the perfect lull to release him to the ocean (heaven). Petals strewn when paddles gave notice of the moment.
