CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF KENNETH ERWIN LANGENDORF
JUNE 28TH,1931 – MARCH 13TH,2023
Kenneth Erwin Langendorf of Alamo CA passed away at the age of 91 on March 13, 2023. Ken was born June 28, 1931, to Irving and Marie Langendorf. A graduate of Stanford university with a degree in industrial engineering , Ken worked briefly for an engineering firm in san-francisco before joining Langendorf Bakeries , the family business
After the bakery was sold , ken went on to sell insurance before becoming a mortgage banker. He was a member of the board of directors of the Maui kaanapali vilas for 18 years and served as the phantom reporter for the underground newsletter.
Ken was a recipient of the “Heart Of Gold” award from the American Heart Association for his years of support . In his retirement ken enjoyed playing tennis, bridge , and chess , along with traveling to his second home in Hawaii with his wife Barbara, putting her first until the day of his passing. Ken could always be recognized by his red socks whether at a black-tie event or on the tennis court. He was an avid reader known for reading two or three books at a time.
Over the past several years there was nothing more important to ken than being with his grandkids. ken will be remembered for his warm and loving personality , friendly “Good morning” to everyone no matter what time of the day it was and “Tis the season” all year long. Ken was loved and adored by everyone who knew him and will be missed by all.
Kenneth is proceeded in death by his parents Irving and Marie and his son Richard. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, children Dennis and his wife Nina Langendorf , Lisa Andrews and her husband Michael Andrews, daughter in law Cj Langendorf, his grand-children , Angelique Robinson, Victoria Langendorf, Adrian Langendorf, Alena Andrews , Cole Andrews, Cooper Andrews , Emma Langendorf, Christoffer Langendorf and great grandchildren Emilie Robinson and Nikolas Hamilton jr, brother Donald Langendorf and nieces Kathy Abbott and Nancy Langendorf.
Per ken’s wishes a private celebration of life was held held in his memory
